Filipino are very Family Oriented

The Filipino Family on MyCoolChat.com

Unlike Americans and many other cultural ethnic groups, Filipinos that are born and raised in the Philippines are very family oriented (most cases) in my opinion.

The reason that I think that Filipinos cherish the family unit and bod so well is instilled values from cradle to grave. Filipinos are for the most part, very respectful of the father and mother to the pint of emulating or adopting their values, religious beliefs, and logical why of thinking passed down from generation to generation.

Beside the traits and characteristic of respect; and honor thy mother and father, the Filipino family usually form an unbreakable bond with their siblings that in most cases, last a lifetime. No matter how rich or poor a Filipino family is, they usually stick together though good times and bad. This in itself is a very admirable trait that also applies to the Filipino’s extended family (the in-laws).

Filipino Extended Family Birthday Celebration

For example, if a son or daughters marries a person who may be down on their luck, just lost their job, became unable to work due to an accident or disability, they are taken care of by the spouses family until which time they can get back on there feet or in some cases an indefinite period of time.

This is by far one virtuous pride attribute (among so many) that the Filipino people can be very proud of to say:

I am Pilipino, and I am proud of it!
